FACTORS THAT REDUCE SCATTER & IMPROVE CONTRAST

1. Decrease field size (by using collimation).
2. Decrease patient thickness.
3. Decrease kV.
4. Use an antiscatter grid/filter.
5. Increase object-image distance (OID).
