DOSE LIMITS-RADIATION WORKERS

1. An effective dose of 20 mSv per year averaged over 5 consecutive years.
2. An effective dose of 50 mSv in any single year.

3. An equivalent dose to the lens of the eye of 20 mSv in any year (previously 150 mSv per year).
4. An equivalent dose of 500 mSv to the extremities (hands, feet and skin) in any year.

5. Dose limit of 1mSv to foetus of pregnant staff, ~2-4 mSv ESD.
6. Different types of personal dosimeters - thermoluminescent dosimeter (TLD), electronic personal dosimeter (EPD), optically stimulated luminescence (OSL).
