CT DOSING

1. Computed Tomography Dose Index (CTDI) - average dose per slice. Monitor this to control exposure.

2. Weighted CTDI - 1/3 CTDI center + 2/3 CTDI periphery (only relevant for axial scans).

3. Scanned volume average dose,

4. Dose Length Product (DLP) - total dose for the exam (CTDI vol * total length). Monitor this to control volume of irradiation.
