CONE BEAM CT

1. Most modern CTs are cone beam CTs.
2. Uses a flat panel detector to encompass a large area.
3. Advantages - whole organ imaging without artefacts, can be used in niche areas such as angiography, radiation oncology, not as mechanically complex.
4. Disadvantages - increased scatter, complex reconstruction requiring greater computational power, prone to cone-beam artefacts.
