RADIONUCLIDE PRODUCTION

Physics

RADIONUCLIDE PRODUCTION

There are three main ways to produce radionuclides:
1. Radionuclide generator (e.g. 99Tcm)
2. Cyclotron (e.g. 18F)
3. Nuclear reactor (e.g. 99Mo)

NOTE: nuclear-fission reactor produced radionucleids are neutron-rich whereas accelerator produced radionucleids are proton-rich.
