PLANAR IMAGING-IMAGE PROCESSING

1. Image filtering - convolution is used to smooth and sharpen the image by altering the count density values in the image.

2. Region Of Interest (ROI) - a region of interest analysis can be used to calculate the total number of counts in a specified area.

3. Time activity curves - the count rate in a specific ROI on a study can be shown over time in the form of a graph.
