SERONEGATIVE SPONDYLOARTHRITIS

1. Seronegative spondyloarthritides are a group of inflammatory spinal arthritides that are rheumatoid factor- and ANA-negative.

2. These arthritides have been categorized as "axial" or "peripheral". Include AS, reactive arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, IBD-associated arthropathy.

3. Predilection for the spine, SI joints, and entheses (where the tendons, ligaments, and joint capsules attach).

4. Asymmetric, large-joint oligoarthritis, usually of the lower extremities.

5. Extra-articular manifestations.

6. Variable association with HLA-B27.
