CENTRAL CORD SYNDROME

1. Clinical - UL weakess > LL weakness. Also a/w bladder dysfunction + varying sensory loss.
2. Pathology - anterior and posterior compression by bulging ligamentum flavum.
3. Recovery - LL limbs -> bowel + bladder -> proximal UL -> distal hand function.
4. Prognosis - =<50yrs is better than older patients.
5. Prognosis in ASIA D tetraplegia - good for all patients.
