BRACHIAL PLEXUS EXAMINATION

SIMPLE ANATOMY
1. Proximal lesion - supraclavicular.
2. Distal lesion - infraclavicular.
3. Dorsal scapular nerve arises from C5 nerve root, proximal to the trunk. Hence, rhomboids are spared in upper trunk lesions.

INJURY PATTERNS
1. Complete - rare.
2. Erb Duchenne (upper) - C5,6.
3. Klumpke's (lower) - C8, T1.
