1. Treat possible underlying causes (e.g., UTI)
2. Regulation of fluid intake
3. Transfer and dressing-skill training
4. Patient and family education
5. Medications (if no improvement with conservative measures)
6. Timed bladder-emptying program
7. Remove indwelling catheter and perform post-void residuals (PVRs)
8. Intermittent catheterization (IC)
9. Urodynamics evaluation
