SEROTONIN SYNDROME

1. Caused by excessive serotonergic activation of both CNS and peripheral receptors.

2. Cognitive impairment - confusions to hallucinations to coma.

3. Autonomic effects - hyperthermia, tachycardia, shivering, and sweating.

4. PNS effects - hyper-reflexia and clonus, twitching, and tremors.
