SEIZURES-STOPPING MEDICATION

Risk factors include:
1. Seizure within the last 2 years
2. Epileptiform spikes on the EEG
3. Abnormal MRI
4. Late age of onset of the seizures

Patient who are seizure-free for 2-4 years and have their AEDS gradually withdrawn have 40% risk of recurrent seizures within 2 years.
