SEIZURES-RECURRENCE

After an initial seizure, the risk of recurrence is increased when (recurrence after 2 seizures is 60% and is 35% after a single seizure):
1. Abnormal EEG
2. History of a prior neurologic injury
3. Family history of seizures
4. The first seizure is a focal seizure
5. Pathology detected on MRI
