NCS-A WAVE

1. Stable, small response that is usually abnormal that appears with either sub-maximal or supra-maximal stimulation.

2. Etiology: activation of motor axons due to either axon branching (usually seen with submaximal stimulation) or ephaptic transmission (seen with supramaximal stimulation).

3. Abnormal waves seen in chronic nerve lesions.
