GENERAL INSPECTION OF THE FACE

Look for:
1. Ptosis.
2. Proptosis.
3. Pupillary inequality.
4. Sturge-Weber syndrome = capillary or cavernous haemangiomas seen over the distribution of the trigeminal nerve. A/W intracranial venous haemangioma of the meninges and seizures.
5. Shingles over the trigeminal nerve distribution.
6. Surgical, craniotomy scars.
