FEEDBACK & REHABILITATION

1. Feedback-based training has been used to help improve balance and mobility.

2. Feedback can come in the form of auditory, visual and touch sensation sensory inputs and these additional sensory cues can improve motor performance.

3. Categories of feedback: auditory stimulation, action observation and biofeedback methods.

4. Cochrane review evaluating EMG-biofeedback vs. either sham or no treatment found no benefit to treatment on pooled results (Woodford and Price 2007).
