A. Defined as a chronic cognitive decline with/without behavioral impairment BUT WITHOUT ALTERED CONSCIOUSNESS that is:
1. Progressive.
2. Interferes with normal daily functioning.
3. Not due to delirium or psychiatric disorder.

B. Cognitive decline features:
1. Decreased ability to learn and remember new information.
2. Decreased problem-solving with simple or complex tasks.
3. Decline in spatial organization - they get lost.
4. Trouble with impulse control - unusual behavior.
