INTRINSIC RENAL AKI-INVESTIGATIONS

1. Urine is moderately concentrated with osmolality 300-350mOsm/L

2. Urine Na + is > 20, indicating normal tubular function (and avid reabsorption of Na+ to increase glomerular pressure).

3. AKl with an FE Na > 2% and muddy-brown casts (ATN), eosinophils (AIN), RBC casts (GN).
