ACUTE PANCREATITIS-DAILY EVALUATION

1. Do daily SIRS evaluation.

2. Check for multi-organ failure (use criteria).

3. Look for evidence of pancreatic necrosis, best confirmed by dynamic CT scan or MRI (at some centers). It is considered severe if > 30% of the pancreas is necrotic.
