NEGATIVE AND POSITIVE FEEDBACK

Endocrinology

NEGATIVE AND POSITIVE FEEDBACK

1. Positive feedback - the target organ feedbacks to increase the secretion of the primary gland.
2. Negative feedback - the target organ feedsback to decrease the secretion of the primary gland. This decreases the deviation from the ideal normal value and is important for homeostasis. Most glands function under negative feedback control.
