3 zones - think GFR; all released by CRH (from hypothalamus) => ACTH (from anterior pituitary).
1. G - glomerulosa => aldosterone (salt).
2. F - fasciculata => cortisol (sugar).
3. R - reticularis => androgens (sex). Mainly dehydroepiandrosterone [DHEA] and testosterone.
