CAUSES OF JVP ABNORMALITIES

1. Raised JVP - Any condition that decreases right ventricular compliance (CCF, constrictive pericarditis, tamponade, infarction).
2. Canon A waves - atrial/ventricular dissassociation (complete heart block, retrogade atrial conduction).
3. Dominant A waves - TV stenosis.
4. Dominant V waves - TV regurgitation.
