SUPERIOR MEDIASTINUM-BRACHIOCEPHALIC VEINS

1. Formed by the confluence of IJV + SCV, behind the SCJ.
2. Close to the confluence, the veins each receives tributaries corresponding to first part of SCA - inferior thyroid, vertebral, internal thoracic.
3. Right BCV receives - the above tributaries, right lymphatic duct, SCV lymph trunks.
4. Left BCV receives - the above tributaries, thoracic duct, superior intercostal, left thymic veins.
