ASCENDING AORTA

1. Above aortic orifice are the aortic sinuses, one above each cusp of aortic valve.
2. Right coronary artery arises from right sinus, left coronary artery arises from left sinus.
3. Above sinuses arota runs above pulmonary trunk, slanting towards manubrium.
4. Continues as arch.
5. Its wall blends with fibrous pericardium.
