SPINAL CORD INJURY

Types of cord injury:
1. Complete injury = no voluntary muscle contraction below level of injury + no somatic sensation in the lowest sacral nerves.
2. Incomplete injury = voluntary muscle contraction below level of injury + preserved sensation in the sacral dermatomes.
