SACRUM-PELVIC SURFACE VSSLS & NERVES

1. Median sacral vessels + LN - in the midline.
2. Superior hypogastric plexus - extends on the promontory. Below is attached the fascia of Waldeyer.
3. Sympathetic trunk - on each side of the promontory, medial to the sacral foramina, crosses the base of the ala.
4. Piriformis - from 3 ridges (costal elements) b/w sacral foramina + lateral mass.
5. Sacral plexus - lateral to the sacral foramina, on the piriformis (both covered by a parietal pelvic fascia).
