PTERYGOPALATINE GANGLION-BRANCHES

6 branches which contain all 3 root components:
1. Nasopalatine nerve - passes through the sphenopalatine foramen, crosses the roof of the nose and supplies the nasal septum & incisive gum of hard palate.
2. Lateral posterior-superior nasal nerve - passes through the sphenopalatine foramen and supplies the posterior-superior quadrant of the wall of the nose.
3. Lateral posterior-inferior nasal nerve.
4. Greater palatine nerve - passes through the greater palatine foramen to supply the mucus membrane of the hard palate.
5. Lesser palatine nerve - passes through the lesser palatine foramen to supply the mucus membrane of the soft palate & palatine tonsil.
6. Pharyngeal nerve - passes through the palato-vaginal canal to supply the upper nasopharynx.
