OTIC GANGLION-SITE

- Small flat body that lies between the mandibular nerve and tensor palati, just below the foramen ovale.
- It is about 2-3 mm in diameter and is closely applied to the nerve.
- It is a relay station for the parasympathetic secretomotor fibers to the parotid.
