VERTEBRAL ARTERY-ORIGIN & COURSE

1. Originates from the first part of the subclavian artery
2. Passes through the C6 transverse foramina and ascends through the neck.
3. Passes posteromedially through the foramen magnum to enter the posterior cranial fossa.
4. It can be divided into 4 parts.
