THYROID GLAND-VENOUS BLOOD SUPPLY

1. Superior thyroid vein - enters either the IJV or facial vein.
2. Middle thyroid vein - enters into the IJV.
3. Inferior thyroid vein - forms a plexus at the lower poles and isthmus of the thyroid, within the pretracheal fascia, in front of the trachea.
