SUBMANDIBULAR FOSSA

1. Lies within the digastric triangle.
2. This space lies deep to the investing layer of deep cervical fascia + inferior border of the mandible.
3. The fascia extends from the inferior border of the mandible to the hyoid.
4. Deep to this the fossa extends to the MYELOHYOID MUSCLE.
5. Swelling in the fossa is limited to the attachments of the MYELOHYOID & deep fascia.
