POSTERIOR TRIANGLE-BOUNDARIES

1. This is an area enclosed b/w SCM + trapezius + clavicle.
2. APEX is at the back of the skull (superior nuchal line).
3. BASE lies in front, at the root of the neck and consists of the clavicle lying b/w the two muscles.
4. FLOOR consists of the prevertebral fascia. Beneath this lie the following muscles from above down: splenius > levator scapulae > sclanus posterior > sclanus medius > sclanus anterior.
