CERVICAL SYMPATHETIC TRUNK

1. Cervical part of the sympathetic trubk ascends across neck of the first rib, medial to the first intercostal vein.
2. It lies medial to the vertebral artery, in front of the prevertebral fascia.
3. It ends at the superior cervical ganglion, its trunk lies behind the carotid sheath, medial to the vagus.
