ARTERY-POSTERIOR AURICULAR

1. Arises from the back of the ECA, above the level of the posterior belly of the digastric.
2. Its runs across the styloid, across the upper border of the digastric and crosses the mastoid process.
3. It supplies skin over the mastoid process.

BRANCHES
4. Auricular branches - supplies the pinna of the ear.
5. Stylomastoid branch - which supplies CN VII. Gives off the stapedial branch, which supplies the stapedius muscle.
