ARTERY-OCCIPITAL

1. Arises from the back of the ECA.
2. Courses along the lower boder of the posterior belly of the digastric.
3. It passes through the apex of the posterior triangle to supply the scalp.
4. The artery is crossed by the hypoglossal nerve at its origin.
