ANKLE JOINT-LATERAL LIGAMENTS

TIP: Vu’s rule - you need an anterior and posterior ligament to tie down the talus.
1. Anterior talofibular ligament.
2. Posterior talofibular ligament.
3. Calcaneofibular ligament - runs under the peroneal tendons.
4. Anterior inferior tibiofibular ligament.
5. Posterior tibiofibular ligament.
