ANKLE JOINT

1. The talocrural joint is a hinge joint, its articular surfaces are covered by hyaline cartilage.

2. Strong calcaneofibular ligament (laterally) + deltoid ligament (medially) strengthen the joint.

3. Blood supply of the capsule + ligaments - ATA + PTA + peroneal artery.

4. Nerve supply - deep peroneal n. + tibial n.
