PARANASAL SINUSES-SPHENOIDAL SINUS

A pair of sphenoidal sinuses, separated by a septum, occupy the body of the sphenoid.

RELATIONS
1. Above - pituitary fossa + middle crabial fossa.
2. Behind - posterior cranial fossa + pons.
3. Laterally - cavernous sinus with carotid arteries.
4. Below - roof of nasopharynx.

INDENTATIONS
5. Above - pituitary + optic chiasm.
6. Laterally - IC + maxillary nerve.
7. Below - pterygoid canal + nerve of the pterygoid canal.

SUPPLY
8. Branches of the maxillary artery + nerve.
