PARANASAL SINUSES-ETHMOIDAL SINUS

1. This is not a single cavity, but divided into variable number of e thmoidal air cells by bony septa.

2. There may be 3-18 cells, each with their own ostium, called anterior, middle, posterior according to where they drain.

3. The lateral wall of the labyrinth forms the medial wall of the orbit, called the lamina papyracea, as it is paper-thin.
