ORBIT-WALLS

1. ORBITAL ROOF - orbital part of the frontal bone + bit of lesser wing of sphenoid at the back.

2. MEDIAL WALL - 5cm long, extends across anterior lacrimal crest on frontal process of maxilla => lacrimal bone => orbital plate of ethmoid bone => body of sphenoid => optic canal. B/W the anterior + posterior lacrimal crests is the fossa for the lacrimal sac which leads down into the nasolacrimal canal.

3. LATERAL WALL - 5cm long, extends across zygomatic bone (with marginal tubercle of Whitnall ) => greater wing of the sphenoid.

4. FLOOR - extends across the orbital surface of the maxilla + zygomatic bones => orbital process of palatine bone at the back.
