ORBIT-LEVATOR PALPEBRAE SUPERIORIS

1. O: arises from under the lesser wing of the sphenoid, at the apex of the roof of the orbit.
2. I: its broad tendon is inserted into the superior tarsal plate.
3. NS: supplied by the superior division of the occulomotor nerve.
4. A: elevates the upper lid.
