SNS-SYMPATHETIC GANGLIA FUNCTION

1. ECA sympathetic plexus - sweating & pilo-erection of the face.

2. Superior cervical ganglia - damage causes Horner syndrome (trifecta of ptosis, meiosis, anhydrosis). Causes: vascular lesions in the cortex, brainstem & CA of the lung, thyroid, oesophagus.

3. T2 + T3 sympathetic ganglia - sweating & vasoconstriction of the upper limbs.

4. L1 sympathetic ganglion - ejaculation.

5. L3 + L4 sympathetic ganglia - sweating & vasoconstriction of the lower limbs.
