SEGMENTAL INNERVATION OF SKIN-AXIAL LINES

1. The line of junction between 2 discontinuous dermatomes is called an axial line. There is no overlap between dermatomes at axial lines.

2. Anterior axial line - from the sternal angle & 2 nd intercostal space down the arm to the wrist.

3. Posterior axial line - from the vertebra prominence down the back of the arm to the deltoid insertion.
