PERITONEUM-SUPRACOLIC COMPARTMENT

1. Divided into the SUPRACOLIC + INFRACOLIC compartments by the transverse mesocolon.

SUPRACOLIC COMPARTMENT
2. Right subphrenic (subdiaphragmatic) compartment - limited by the upper layer of coronary + falciform ligaments.
3. Right subhepatic compartment - hepatorenal pouch of Morison, limited by the lower layer of coronary ligament.
4. Left subphrenic (subdiaphragmatic) compartment - limited by the left triangular ligament.
5. Left subhepatic compartment - lies within the lesser sac, limited by the left triangular ligament.
