LIVER-SEGMENTS

Couinaud classification divides the liver into 8 segments, each with its own branch of portal vein, hepatic artery, bile duct and lymphatic drainage:
I - caudate lobe.
II - left lateral.
III, IV - lateral & medial parts of the left medial sector.
V, VIII - lower & upper parts of the right anterior sector.
VI, VII - lower & upper parts of the right posterior sector.
