KIDNEY-RELATIONS

RIGHT KIDNEY
1. Anterior-superior: right adrenal gland, hepatorenal pouch, liver.
2. Hilum: 2nd part of duodenum.
3. Lower-lateral pole: hepatic flexure.
4. Lower-medial pole: jejunum.
5. Posterior: diaphragm, costodiaphragmatic recess of pleura, psoas, quadratus lumborum, transversus abdominis, subcostal vessels + nerve, iliohypogastric n., ilioinguinal n.

LEFT KIDNEY
1. Anteriorly-superior: left adrenal gland, peritoneum of lesser sac, stomach, spleen.
2. Hilum: tail of pancreas.
3. Lower-lateral pole: splenic flexure.
4. Lower-medial pole: jejunum.
5. Posterior: diaphragm, costodiaphragmatic recess of pleura, psoas, quadratus lumborum, transversus abdominis, subcostal vessels + nerve, iliohypogastric n., ilioinguinal n.
