1. Lymph vessels pass back along the arteries to LN that lie in front of the AAA at the origins of the gut arteries (coeliac, superior mesenteric, inferior mesenteric groups).

2. These nodes drain into each other and eventually to the coeliac group, which drains via 2-3 channels into the cisterna chyli.
